VR gaming might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a romantic date idea but trust us, you’d be surprised. Did you know that you can even propose in VR? You certainly can, so if you’re planning to pop the question to your game-loving other half , keep that in mind.

So, what makes VR gaming the perfect date on the most romantic day of the year? Here’s what some couples have said about the experience.

YOU GET TO SPEND TIME HAVING FUN TOGETHER:

Our eco friendly spacious environment are the perfect option for a fun date where you get to spend some one-on-one time having fun together – with one of our awesome staff members as your third wheel (sorry, but safety first).

Here’s what Adeline has to say about celebrating her husband’s birthday

Was looking for an indoor spontaneous activity to do for my husband’s birthday and am very glad to have come across VR World! The place is very clean and fully air-conditioned. The owner is very friendly and engages us with short chats and also explains well on the mechanics of vr as this is our 1st experience. What attracts me is the VR escape room concept because you get the hands-on feeling of doing the series of activities to solve the riddles. Will recommend to try out the games here as they have different difficulty levels and genres (kids games too!) 😉😉

IT’S A GOOD BONDING EXPERIENCE:

If you don’t get to game together very often then definitely consider a VR experience for your Valentine’s Day date. The games in our luxury rooms are turn based. If you’d rather choose a game that you can play together at the same time, head into our VR arcade. Here, you can escape with each other or even experience a virtual reality roller-coaster ride together.

Whether you’re watching from the sidelines as your other half shoots villains or doing Escape The Lost Pyramid, teamwork is all part of the experience. Working towards a common goal – or trying to beat each others high scores, if you’re the competitive type – is a fun way to bond as a couple.

Here’ what Bethanie got to say

Decided to come to VR World and try out their VR escape room game for our anniversary and it was so much fun!! As we are pretty new to VR games, we tried “Escape the Lost Pyramid” and it got us thinking. Will definitely recommend to our families and friends!

YOU CAN GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER:

If you’ve just started dating somebody new and are at that awkward stage where a romantic meal doesn’t seem like the best fit for your first date, then VR gaming is a brilliant alternative. You get to have plenty of fun and make memories together. It’s still the kind of date where you can keep chatting and have a laugh with each other.

Plus when you game together, you might get to learn things about the other person that you didn’t already know. Our games have sneaky ways of showing you something you may not have known about your date. Like their guilty pleasures in music, whether or not they’re scared of heights, how good of a driver they are and of course, the type of games they enjoy the most. Whew! That’s a lot of new stuff to learn about a person after just a couple of hours having fun together.

Even if you’ve been together for years and years, you might be surprised! But that’s relationships – you’re always learning something new about your person, even when you know them really well.

Here’s what Juen says

Tried Escape the Lost Pyramid today. It is a fun collaborative virtual escape game. Nice graphics. Recommended for couples or groups of 4. Teamwork and communication is key to complete the game.

IT’S OUT OF THE ORDINARY:

If like many couples you’re feeling sick and tired of everyday routine and want to do something fun and different, choosing a VR gaming experience this for your next date is a great way to achieve that – and it won’t break the bank either!

While most of your coupled friends are probably doing all the usual stuff like dinner and drinks, watching a romantic film at the cinema or even staying at home, you’ll be immersed in a virtual world together – what’s not to love? If you’re tired of the same old dates and starting to feel a bit bored, VR isn’t just a fun way to spice up your Valentine’s Day this year – it can inject some excitement into your relationship too. If your life together has become super-focused on work, kids, and all the other everyday things like getting the housework done, an hour or two playing VR games together could be some much-needed fun.

Here’s what Modchanishere says

It was fun and great, played with friends and screamed at each other with terrible coordination. Hope to come back again soon!

IT’S A GOOD WAY TO RELAX:

Stress is a massive relationship killer! Even if you’re not particularly stressed because of your partner, being stressed out, on edge and anxious isn’t going to make anything easier when it comes to your relationship.

When you think of self-care you probably imagine running yourself a nice bubble bath or getting a massage – and they’re both fantastic ways to look after yourself, but sometimes relaxation comes in the form of slashing vibrant, virtual fruit with a sword in Fruit Ninja

Here’s what Lee Kee Yong says

Wow! The entire place is spacious and roomy, and was impressed with the level of cleanliness of the headsets and controllers. Overall it’s an amazing VR gaming experience and reasonably priced. This is the One

VR gaming fully immerses you in the virtual world of whatever game you’ve chosen to play.  It gives you a chance to really switch off from the real world for a while and forget about your stresses while you focus on having fun. And sometimes, that’s all you need to feel better at the end of a hectic week.

Book your fun, romantic VR gaming date here. And, don’t forget that since we’re located on Chinatown, Singapore, the fun doesn’t have to stop here – we’re just a few minutes’ away from Maxwell Hawker Center, Chinatown Complex Food Center, Chinatown Food Street, Tanjong Pagar where you can enjoy fantastic food and drinks after or before your gaming session.
